The next two Saturdays, Aug 8th and 15th, my band Metolius Rising will be playing in the courtyard at Oakway Mall. We play quite an eclectic mix of old and new and it is lively and a lot of fun. The venue is gorgeous and cool with many awesome food vendors to choose from including Oakway Wine and Deli, Chapala’s, Johnny Oceans, Cafe Yumm and Cold Stone ice cream. We start at 5:30pm and there is no admission charge. Bring your lawn chairs and have a picnic with us! This Saturday, 8/8/09 we are opening for Coupe deVille at the KKNX oldies 84 listener party and next week you have us for a whole three hours. Please come and join in the fun and thanks always for your support of live music

Warm Summer Greetings to All:
 
In this part of the country, summer is our reward for putting up with the wet and cold of winter, and the fickle teasing of spring.  End of school, graduation, track season, usher us outdoors and into adventures to new places.
 
My music schedule always seems to kick into a higher gear as the weather changes, bringing with it opportunities for new venues for us to meet and enjoy each other’s company and live music.
To kick things off this Friday, June 12th, I am in a new venue for me, at Territorial Vineyard and Wine Company at 907 W 3rd in the Whitaker district from 7-9pm.  This cozy tasting room with a warm, knowledgable staff, good wine, and snacks is a neighborhood nook made for unwinding at the end of a busy week.
 
The evening view at Sweet Cheeks Winery on Briggs Hill Rd, continues to be fantastic and I continue on alternate Friday’s 6-9pm,
 (June 19th, July 3rd etc.) to accompany wine, cheese tastings and good company.
 
Finally, stay tuned as I will be at the Oakway Mall July 8th, August 8th & 15th, (details to follow), performing in that lovely courtyard with some surprise guests playing with me.  Also, there will be a fundraiser at Sweet Cheeks for the awesome folks supporting Foster Families in our area on the 9th of July.  Again, I request your indulgence when I send you further information at a later date detailing how you can participate.
 
I continue to give thanks for the blessing of your support of my efforts and live music.  It is always such a treat for Jeanette and I to see familiar faces.
